About Me

My name is Carl-Nicholas Devitz and I am a 3D Modeler and Game Developer. I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Applied Digital Arts, with a focus in Game Development. I have always had an interest for art, and I have been playing video games for as long as I can remember. So I made it my goal to put these two interests together, and go for a career in a field that I have long wanted to be a part of. I am very passionate about my work and I am constantly working to improve it. I have a very strong work ethic and I am always excited to work with new people. My portfolio contains many works varying from traditional art, 3D models, character designs, and animation. I am proficient in Maya, Substance Painter 3D, Unity Engine, and  Adobe Photoshop. I also have additional skills in Adobe Illustrator, ZBrush, Unreal Engine, Toon Boom, and experience with C#, C++, and Java programming languages. In the Summer of 2021, I had the opportunity of taking on an internship at Brotherly LLC to work on their upcoming game, City of Murals. Working as an art intern I created 3D models, created UV and AO maps for models, created textures, worked on rigging and animations, and helped import and set up assets in Unity. I am using my portfolio as a way to market myself to employers for potential internships, and hopefully a career.
